This past weekend we held our Fall Global Classroom training for 37 talented, and enthusiastic students and scholars (now-Global Guides) from all over the world with the help of our GC Fellows (Saba & Hayley) and Global Guide experts (Anton, Tala, & Deepesh).
As a whole, we represented over 30 different countries from over 20 different colleges and universities.

Vianna (Dominican Republic) and Peter (Austria) sharing pictures of their life back home with each other.
The trainees participated in hands-on teaching activities and breakout sessions by Global Classroom staff.
We gathered some amazing ideas for our Teen World, Games!, and GC² programs. In GC², we had a lengthy discussion on the different perspectives and forms of community service in other countries. In Mexico, “service” is just a natural responsibility of being a part of a community. Young people often volunteer as safety guards, who help to direct traffic and guide children across the street. In China, many young people volunteer their time in elderly homes and libraries.
Thank you to all of the Global Guides who participated. We hope to see you in the classroom soon!
